Anvar, Agence française de l'innovation

With an annual budget of €289M, ANVAR is charged with the development and financing of innovation in French industry, particularly in SMEs, to facilitate the emergence of new products and processes in all fields of activity. Anvar operates under the aegis of the Ministries of Industry, SMEs and Research.

rom 1981 to 2003, ANVAR invested €5.38 billion to share the risk of innovation with more than 37,860 companies and laboratories, supporting more than 84,650 technological innovation projects.



Since 1985 the CRITT-CCST (Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer agency) has supported the development of SMEs in the electronics and IT sectors in the Ile-de-France region. The agency is financed by Ministry if Research and Technology and the Ile-de-France regional authority, who define its priorities. Supporting technological innovation and spreading key technologies are key objectives.



The DRIRE is charged with a number of missions, key amongst them being support for activities which contribute to sustainable economic development. The DRIRE aids the development of small and medium businesses with targeted aid and coordinated action plans to improve competitivity.



Scientipole Initiative is a local start-up support group, specialising in innovation. By providing expert support and consulting and interest-free loans at key early stages in the business's development, Scientipole Initiative seeks to encourage cooperation between entrepreneurs and technical specialists, to bring innovative projects to market and to support their development.


Ministry of research

Le ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche habilite les établissements à délivrer les différents diplômes.
Le ministère peut aussi accorder une forme reconnaissance à des diplômes délivrés dans l'enseignement supérieur privé (on parle de diplômes « reconnus par l'État ».

Il est seul responsable de l'enseignement supérieur public (hors classes supérieures des lycées), finançant en grande partie les universités.

La plupart des établissements publics à caractère scientifique, culturel et professionnel (universités, écoles normales supérieures  et presque tous les grands établissements) sont placés sous le contrôle de ce ministère.
C'est également le cas des établissements publics à caractère scientifique et technologique, parfois conjointement avec un autre ministère (la Santé pour l'INSERM ).

Le ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche coordonne la politique de recherche en matière scientifique et technologique et la met en œuvre.

Il est également chargé de tout ce qui concerne la gestion des projet scientifique qui mettent en colaboration les universités et les entreprises privées, dans la mise en place des projets à long terme ou à court terme.



Incuballiance is the result of the merger of Ile-de-France Sud Incubation (IFSI) and d'Ile-de-France Innovation (IDFI), to improve coordination of incubator activities in the Ile-de-France region. Members of Incuballiance include the CEA, CNRS, EADS (through its subsidiary EADS Développement), GENOPOLE, the University of Paris Sud XI, the ESA, HEC, Institut Gustav Roussy, INRA, INRIA, INT, IOTA, IRD, ONERA, Optics Valley, Polytechnique and the Universities of Cergy Pontoise, Evry Val d'Essone and Versailles Saint Quentin.



The Piithie project is part of a wide movement towards a better mastering of published information. It has two distinct goals that use similar technologies.
The first is to detect plagiarism of texts. Led by Advestigo, it aims at identifying the reuse of a copyrighted text without consent.

he second is to follow the impact, and is led by the Sineqqua company. The aim is to enable information publishers to evaluate the informational impact of their production (reuse of news and opinions...).

The two companies partner with two public research laboratories, the ''Laboratoire Informatique d'Avignon'' (LIA) and the ''Laboratoire d'Informatique de Nantes Atlantique'' (LINA) as well as with TNS Media Intelligence, the validating partner.



ANR - RAFFUT Project

RAFFUT : Automatic detection of infringing files on UGC sites, with:
Advestigo (industrial leader)
Inrialpes (Academic Laboratory)
SportFive (industrial User)

The RAFFUT project has originated in a series of consultations that started in 2006 from american UGC sites to the Advestigo company. The aim of the project is a commercial detection, protection and administration platform of copyrights, intellectual and industrial propriety usable by UGC sites.
