CIVR 2007 | Advestigo scores highly at the 2007 CIVR Video Copy Detection Evaluation Showcase in Amsterdam.
CIVR (ACM International Conference on Image and Video Retrieval) has organized an international video copy detection contest in July 2007. This contest used about 100 hours of video materials coming from different sources (web video clips, TV archives, movies), featuring various types of programs (documentaries, movies, sports events, TV shows…), data formats, bitrates, resolutions, lengths…

In this live contest opposing international research laboratories and companies, Advestigo's algorithms have obtained excellent results, confirming its leading edge in the detection of copyrighted material.

More specifically, Advestigo has obtained the highest score in the “Movie copies” category, where queries were made on copies of long videos that had been reencoded, noised, retouched, or obtained through a cam-corder.
