Michel Roux
President and CEO

Michel Roux, a manager with extensive experience in the technology sector, is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Advestigo. Mr. Roux has fourteen years of general management experience covering start-up, operations and corporate development in the areas of software, telecommunications, and security systems. In particular, Michel founded the Thomson-CSF (now Thales) subsidiary TBS, specializing in broadband networks, before directing the European operations of US digital and cable TV systems manufacturer Scientific-Atlanta. He then joined Gemplus where for four years he was VP and General Manager of Internet and Multimedia security activities. This was followed by the creation in California of Thinkpulse Inc., a start-up specializing in software for smart card terminals. Returning to France, Michel was appointed Chairman and CEO of Streamcore, a young company developing QoS solutions for enterprise networks, which he led through two years of growth including its first products, first customers, first distribution partners, before managing the company's acquisition by Boostworks Inc. Michel joined the Advestigo team in February 2004. Michel is a graduate of École Centrale Paris, holds a master of science in Mathematics and has an MBA from INSEAD.

 
Marc Michel Pic, PhD
Founder, VP of Technical Operations

Marc Michel Pic trained as an engineer before obtaining his PhD in computer sciences at the University of Paris VI-Jussieu. His fascination with information theory and its practical applications - digital imaging, high-performance computing, compilers etc - goes back a long way. He has published a number of articles in international reviews, and spoken at international conferences. He has also contributed to several books on digital signal analysis and languages for parallel programming. Marc's experience includes project management in industry (medical, Shell, knowledge management) and research (CEA - the French Atomic Energy agency; INRIA - National Institute for Research in Information and Automation Technologies). Internationally, he has organized collaborative projects with Indiana University and with a number of European research centers. He has been an assessor for the RNTL, a French ministry organization supporting private/public sector cooperative research in IT. He has been a member of several standardization organizations, including MPEG and ISO (AFNOR). He is also a member of Cyberlex, a think-tank looking into the legislative implications of new technologies.

 
Jean-Marc KERISIT, PhD
CTO

Jean-Marc KERISIT, 45 years old, has an extensive experience in software technology. He started his career as a research engineer, moved rapidly to software R&D and services, and management. He has held various positions in his career, among them: Director of ITPL software at EDS, Chief Architect and Director of R&D at Business Objects. His experience has then been mostly focused on developing and structuring the R&D activity of small innovative software companies, among them : Artech (now Reportive), Instranet, Pertinence (now Intercim). His main competencies embrace management of applied research as well as software development teams, technological positioning and vision, complex algorithms, R&D process and organization." Jean-Marc graduated from “Ecole Polytechnique” in Paris, France and holds a PhD in Theoretical Computer Sciences at the Paris Diderot University.

 
François Guély, PhD
Director of Products

François Guély has been responsible of Schneider Electric’s advanced automatic control and signal processing research laboratory. He then took responsibility of the company’s corporate e-business project (Marketing Direction), and later was the co-founder of MatchVision, a software editor of intelligent search engines, and Product Management Director of Pertinence, an editor of data mining based process optimization software." François is a graduated Engineer (Ecole Centrale de Paris) and a PhD in artificial intelligence.
